iRock

Here at irock we offer two different types of climbing: rock climbing and bouldering.

Rock Climbing at iRock features a variety of challenges. We have walls ranging in height from thirty to fifty-five feet. All of our climbing is protected by a top rope belay system. Top rope belay systems are used in both gyms an outdoors. It is a safe way to climb that keeps you and your children far from harms way. We offer all climbers a tutorial on belaying to ensure that you feel safe and that your time here will be enjoyable. We keep our walls fun by changing out all of our climbing holds every month so that there is always a new challenge for you to overcome. It is important to remember that climbing does not require you to be an athlete, climbing provides fun for people of all levels of physical fitness. While Rock Climbing you will learn that leg muscle is initially much more important to your success than upper body strength. You will enjoy our fun facility and our helpful staff as you learn or refine your climbing skills.

Bouldering is the newest craze in climbing. It is done by picking out smaller walls and using a padded landing area rather that a harness and rope. Be sure to come with a spotter. Spotters are important to your safety, they stand beneath you and guide you into a safe and soft landing. Bouldering is harder than rock climbing, it requires more upper body strength than rock climbing does. It is a good work out and a great way to get your body in rock hard shape. We have a variety of bouldering as well, we have a free standing boulder that offers overhangs and roofs, as well as some super balance intensive vertical sections. You will have a blast as you learn how to put your problem solving skills to the test while trying to figure out how to get to the top of these climbs.

In addition to our Top Roping wall we have several lead climbing routes. We set a variety of routes in these areas so that they can be enjoyable for a first- time lead climber, and an experienced climber. We offer lead climbing classes for those who are interested in learning. Inquire with a manager to set up a time to take a variety of classes that will prepare you for a life of indoor and outdoor climbing. We look forward to climbing with you.

We offer daily admissions, private parties, group rates and a variety of climbing memberships. We recommend making reservations for groups of  5 or more. Our staff will teach climbing basics as well as belaying techniques for groups and individuals. Admission includes: harnesses, belay device, and carabineers. Climbing shoes and chalk  are available for rental as well.  Come and get a workout while climbing our various walls and routes.
